Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In that role she is responsible for covering everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise in space travel. Kristin is the daughter of NASA astronauts as well as a space enthusiast was raised in the field. She worked for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations. While there, she also covered presidential impeachment trials and the presdiential 2020 campaign, as well as two attempts by the administration to stop the coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, she was on numerous trips with President and Vice President, including a top secret visit to Afghanistan with former President Donald Trump.
